I had the idea to make a robot, that starts sphere shaped.A few days after starting with some sketches, I saw a commercial for some toy robots with a similar concept. Whatever...
This is just a preview animation of the hull unfolding.
Of course there will be something "inside" when itΒ΄s finished.
Modeled in C4D, animated with keyframes. Shattered with MoGraph 2.0
Modeling time: 10 minutes

what do you mean exactly? How much time IΒ΄ve spent on practicing every day or how many things IΒ΄ve created each day?
I would say, IΒ΄ve spent more than 8 hours a day for about 5 years. Nowadays itΒ΄s from 10 minutes to 2 hours.
Modeling time strongly depends on what I create. Of course, I started with simple things, that took hours and days^^

Yeah, somehow it does. But to be true, I was just to lazy to work it out. But I have the plans for the inner tech. But I really donΒ΄t know, when I will finish it.

The part are cut out of the sphere. The whole thing is quite undetailled. THatΒ΄s why it was finished that quick. Of course years of experience and knowing what I need to create it is also essential.
