Description
This piece was created for my 90,000 pageview contest. The winner got to describe a monster in detail and I would draw it up.The winner for this contest was.... icon:anthem-to-sorrow:
This was a tough one and I took a lot of liberties with his description and just went with what felt right when I was drawing. I also got too lazy to look back at the description and just went with what I remembered. Here was his description...
"How about a snake head, with a body of a... PANTERA! With scales like feathers, with a stone texture, big fangs, not a bifid snake tounge, just a long one, red glowing eyes, and a Tentacled hairy beard... or a normal beard with tentacles in there, the beard well... it has to be purple with hot pink tentacles, or sumthing like that.
He needs to fly, so let's give him some Crow wings and finally let's build him some more details.
He will need a Big cool Helmet, a really cool viking helmet, with horns and spikes and all that cool stuff vikings have and a biiiiiiiiiiiiig Axe...
And finally... for his feather stone scales let's give him some corpse rotten green... sumthing pale and kind of fluorecent in some parts. "

i have the ideas and all that 70s b horror really deranged my fragile developing brain
if i only had a grain of your talent for the detailing and coloring
im very creative and i love to draw and music
but i just wish i can get the perfest lines and forms down
your one of the few that i know that even knows of chiller theatre
everyone that likes horror its ususall the newer shit or strictly the usa flicks
they dont do blck n white --booooo
they dont dig dig fulchi nor argento--nor bava- even a bigger booooooooo
so i realy admire this common bond we share

Me too, nothing is better than horror nerds.
I am pretty fortunate to have a wife and friends who now about all the great movies that have demented our minds.
One movie form the 80's that I missed out on but recentley saw was "Bloodsucking Pharoahs from Pittsburgh". Not one of the greatest movies ever but it has some really funny moments and lots of blood.

i just would love to get some sort of a compilation of Chiller Theatre
from like the 70s to the 80s all that incredible film and such variety

i googled it like a year ago and theres a fan club out east that was working on a compilation series i would def like to invest into that

Funny thing is, it still reminds me of those old "mummymovies" or how you call them, when the curses of the tombs were about statues coming back to life etc.
Or the fact its your usual "Damsel in distress" scene which makes this so classical
