Damn it, this picture is simply magnificent. It just HAS to have a backstory. It's right there, I tell you, I can feel it!*sigh* Could you at least imagine a hint?

Hahahahaaa seriously, in front of my blank sheet, I was just telling to myself "let's draw a dragon" (because a friend of mine wanted me to paint one). So I randomly sketched this one. Later, I thought he must be watching something, then a lady came to mind. I was too lazy to make her outfit, so she has only her long hair. And a crown, like the ladies on my favourite illustrator's pictures (John Bauer). And she would be his mistress.
So that was an unplanned and random painting

I love the way the dragon and background blend together, and the curve of the dragon's tail reflects the curves of the leafy plants! Beautifully executed as always ^^

Simply stunning.... It's cool how the dragon is easy to make out among the foliage because the scale pattern stands out. This is an amazing study in contrasting patterns....
