I love this piece. The apocalyptic sensibility you've developed here is so well articulated and relationally complex -- I love how the fire operates almost as a screen or veil for the cityscape -- offers a kind of paradoxical perceptual movement -- there's an uncertainty, when viewing the piece, if the flames are an effect of a viewing subject through which we are seeing, or whether it is a "real" incorporation of the city itself. I love this indeterminacy, and it's brilliant working through here.
