Je suis particulièrement fière de ce dessin: pour ce qu'il représente, la qualité des traits et des couleurs (tout à la main )

Personnellement, je trouve ce dessin très triste, surtout quand on sait ce qui va se passer quelques années plus tard: la montée au pouvoir de Praxis, la mort d'Any, etc... Je ne préfère pas y penser en fait
Niveau contexte, et qui explique le titre donné: comme Erol est adopté et donc non le vrai héritier de Mar, cela accentué par le fait que la reine soit d'origine roturière, la haute société d'Abriville sera très dure avec eux.
Beaucoup demanderons même le départ des deux: les deux n'étant pas de sang royal, leur place n'est pas sur le trône aux côtés du Roi Damas.
Mais ils ont oublié quelque chose qui est plus fort que le lien par le sang: le lien par l'amour. Damas est amoureux d'Any et considère Erol comme son propre fils qu'il n'arrive pas à avoir avec son épouse. Plus fort que cela, le jeune Erol s'est très vite attachée à Any (et réciproquement), la considérant comme sa vraie maman (étant donné qu'il était trop jeune quand il a perdu ses parents biologiques, il ne peut se souvenir d'eux)

Bref! tout cela pour dire qu'Any console Erol dans le dessin comme le fait une mère pour son enfant. Elle lui demande de garder foi aux Précurseurs, d'avoir confiance, de rester gentil pour ses parents, que tout ira mieux le lendemain, que la méchanceté s'effacera un jour ou l'autre, etc... Mais malgré ses paroles, Any reste inquiète pour l'avenir.

She asks him to keep faith with the Precursors, to trust, to stay nice for his parents, that everything will be better the next day, that the evil will disappear one day or another, etc. ... But despite her words Any remains worried about the future.
