Hey, your draws are beautiful, but only pencil for lineart/color/shaded make things a little confuse. You can try use a black pen to lineart, will seems more clean ^w^

I actually do use black pen in some of my works. What I wanted do here was to just get back to plain sketching like I did before. Not to mention, since I don't need to worry about using colors and ink, I can revert back to what I did before, in order to get ideas down and experiments done faster. Yeah, smudges get me quite a bit. If you look through my gallery, you can see plenty of my ink-lined works. Here, I'll show you one right now!

It's no problem. I do get what you mean, and I've heard it plenty of times from other artists. I suppose, if anything, you merely came too late.

A few times, I take advantage of the smoke. It's great for drawing Grimm (dark, animal-like monsters that exist in a show called RWBY), since they sometimes emit smoke.
