Still brainstorming ideas for it, but I've got some concrete ideas for it already and I'm learning how to use Ren'Py to make the Visual Novel. Still want to add a few features to the engine so my full game can use it.

When the demo is released I want it to be long and enjoyable so Prologue, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 of the main story will be in the demo and I plan to have it carry over to the full game which I think there will be at least 5 or 6 chapters for the entire story... plus I'm just a few "out-of-nowhere" characters to romance/befriend but I need to look for more male characters for female players to romance... Female MLP characters to romance are close to 20 and Males are a pitiable 8 - 10.

So yeah, when the demo is made and release I'll let everyone try it! So far I'm by myself, no team but eventually will seeing as I need to add music to the game.

I want this game to be great and close to a professional Visual Novel game. It will be called "Harmony of Hearts" and I hope you look forward to it in the future! I have secret extras planned for it after clearing the game with certain requirements.

Its a lot harder writing braching story lines than people think. I'm using Novelty for mine, friendlier user interface. Not so much code.

I've made a couple of RPGs before in RPG Maker XP (many years ago) and I know how tricky and difficult it can be with setting up and branching events together so I know what to expect, but I expect some bugs the first time I'm running through this.

This is going to be my first Visual Novel ever so I want to go with a linear route for my game, but simple and unique at the same time so I want to setup the layout of game to be what I want it to be. I'm also going to write down all of the branches and events in Word Document so it will be manageable and easier to set up the scripts in the game.

In the game the Protagonist (that's you, male or female) is ultimately a good guy so there's no "going evil or anti-evil" in the game but you can come off as oblivious or rude depending on your choices but you're still a good person... erm, pony in the game's story. Like I said before I want it to be simple but unique with the game so I hope you enjoy it.

Never heard of Novelty, but I wanted my Visual Novel to be more flexible and I think Ren'Py is possible a good choice regarding that though I'm not sure what Novelty is capable of. Though I'm going to ask for help on Ren'Py so I can get everything right.

So who are you looking forward to romance? (Sadly, I'm doing an opposite sex pairing route, the normal kind, and no same sex pairing one though you can play "Pony Amnesia: Love and Mystery" if you want same sex pairing but there are some subtle "bromance" and the like for girls in the game)

There's some subtle and mild suggestive themes in the game, like Spike with the donuts in "Best Night Ever" to have that "drink when you're depressed" angle.

Cool. My vision of an amazing MLP visual novel would have 6 main story arcs for the mane 6, though you would only be able to see one through a single play through. There would also be some "bad ending" scenarios where you don't get any of them. And then there would be a few other arcs for the bg characters, such as ditzy, vinyl, and Octavia that would be more difficult to find. But that's just my personal taste.

I see... interesting, one of my MLP VN ideas where they after introducing yourself to the Mare 6 and Ponyville you get to pick which of the Mare 6 you would be staying with and who you stayed with allows you other Character Routes to open for example staying with Pinkie Pie lets you meet Vinyl Scratch (seeing as she's the DJ at many of Pinkie's parties) as you can't meet Vinyl from the other 5 and likewise if you stayed with Rarity you would meet Octavia.

Though that would've been trickier to do so in my current game, the story pans out with you awaking up in the old Regal Sister Castle where Alicorn Princess Twilight and Spike and making their rounds to check up on the castle as they're polish it up to be used again and they meet you.

But before that you pick your name and gender as well as what Pony Race you are (Earth, Pegasus, Unicorn) and from there there's more choices that define your looks picking your body, mane, eye color and if you're Pony wears clothes or not (though their Cutie Mark is never stated what it looks like leaving it to the Player's imagination) and those choices happen along the way and the ponies will point out to you like Rarity mention how the white dress is perfect for your black fur coat or your blue eyes look dazzling in the light. Things like that.

Back to the story Twilight and Spike bring you to Ponyville were they learned back at the castle you have lost your memory and you don't know how you got here (actually you're a Human turned Pony in this story and the intro to it is a lot like the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games which I drew the inspiration from) and plans to help you back home but not only that but Pinkie Pie is throwing a special party in Ponyville... an Anniversary Party for her best friends! Pinkie totally forgot on the last Summer Sun Celebration (from S4 opening) that is was that day where Twilight came to Ponyville and became best friends with everypony and decides to throw one, even if it's days later, to celebrate the day Twilight came to Ponyville and how they became friends.

And that's where YOU come in, mirroring this special event meeting with Twilight and her friends and becoming besties with them. Also Princess Celestia and Princess Luna think it's a marvelously idea and have made time in their busy schedule to come visit them during the Anniversary Party so you'll be able to meet them for the first time (and, yes, both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are romanceable for the Male Player).

Though it's not all sunshines and rainbows, as a sinister shadows looms in the forest... waiting for its chance to do some damage to Equestria again.

That's basically what I have planned to do... right now I'm not sure to allow Players to stay with one of the Mare 6 but during the beginning Spike is the Player's guide around Ponyville the first time and you bond with him (Bromance for Spike for the boys, Romanceable for the girls as Spike comments you, as a Mare, that you're as pretty as Rarity) though I'm going to keep a linear route here and have the Player stay with Twilight as she can help with your memory loss but eventually you get your own house and you pick from three locations where you want to live (house's exterior looks the same regardless).

You will be able to visit places like Ponyville, Everfree Forest, Canterlot, the Old Royal Sister Castle, The Crystal Empire, and possible a few places more. I might have to make original Stallion characters in the game to balance out the cast difference between the Mares and Stallions you can date... seeing as there's more Females than Males in the show (I might need to look at the comics to get more ideas for them).

Right now I'm on the fence about Voice Acting, BUT if the game is does good and I finish it or if fans are interest in it I will considering getting fan VA for the game and finding the perfect fan voices for the cast.

Sounds like a big project. The file size is gonna be huge when it's finished lol. My vn is less ambitious, following the standard vn outline. I like the human-pony-amnesia scenario.
