I bought a REALLY thick wig from eBay... Seriously that thing is a LION'S MANE. It's crazy thick. I can't seem to find them there anymore so I'm worried the seller may not do them anymore.
Then it's a lot of Got2B freeze hold spray, and patience. Because it came "pre-styled" I brushed it out rather than washing it. That meant that it had hairspray already in it so it was pretty easy to shape it spike by spike, starting from the front and working back.

Also I know how frustrating it is when you want details, and since I'm pretty mediocre I should at least give all my knowledge XD

hahaha, I know the feeling, my girlfriend was stuck on her Axel wig for about one month and a half, one month to fix the hairline, placing tiny hair into holes on a fabric, and when it came to styling, she nearly started to cry over ten times, it was frustrating because the hair didn't want to stand up in spikes.... I felt so sorry for her ^^''

This is, to be fair, the photo in which it looks best from ALcon, so maybe it's difficult to explain. Close up the spikes are quite wonky and wobbly, and the bottom still looks like a lion's mane I suppose.

I can see the problem there. Well, the 1st of October I get my allowance, so I can just... save from there, I guess. I'll have to save up a little. But like I said, I'd be willing to pay quite a price to save me the trouble of actually styling my hair every time I want to cosplay Axel. =w= I refuse to do that ever again.
