Card art for Alderac Entertainment's Legend of the Five Rings CCG, Celestial EditionI'm very happy with this piece. (except for that broken wall on the right. I was kind 'getting the art done' at that point. Focus) Once again, thanks to Drew Baker and Steve Argyle for some critiques and ideas that I was able to incorporate into this before submitting.
It's pretty colorful, by far my most colorful piece of the set. I've settled more into using muted colors these days but I love the dynamics I got into this piece.
Some influences from L5R Crane player and Straw Dog team member Chris Nicoll. If you know him, you'll definitely be able to pick out what I incorporated into the piece

The colors and details are great! One subtle thing I wonder about is if his right hand should be smaller since the angle of his arm is putting it about as far back/in to the picture as possible.

I don't know how she influenced you, but such a Muse can only lead to good things for Crane art.

Right hand should be smaller, yes. There are other nitpicks that I see now as well. Including something more glaring than the large paw he has. Ah well, learn and grow.
I didn't take any time to make the wall look like actual stone. I just threw it down there and went on my merry way.
