Ring Road

The only Road that is primarily non-offensive, the Ring Road is a supportive road that consists of Link Tuners - mechanics who fix and tune other riders to their A•Ts. Not all Ring Road users can actually ride A•Ts. Ring Road focuses on sound - every rider and A•T has a rhythm. The Link Tuners match the rhythm of the A•T to its rider's, increasing performance. A person with the potential for Ring Road will know the exact time without reference.

Air Treks

Old pair He still uses these when the others are in need of tune ups. Shepherd made his Ats from parts he had collected over the years. They are purple because of his younger sister chose the start base for his Air Treks and he just went with it. He hasn’t skated tricks in a couple years due to an injured knee. It has healed fine and he would be as good as knew if the fall that had hurt him in the first place hadn’t scared from from wanting to try again. But he loves the sport and the thrill that comes with it so he works on them often and tunes to try to stay in the loop with it all.

New pair Basil liked the idea of matching so when the redhead's AT's were made Shep used the left over parts to make his own. Ankle skates with roller balls instead of the traditional skate wheels. A base of neon and steel gray shoe form with glow in the dark roller balls. A double suspension motor that helps keep up with basil in most cases.

Personality

Quiet | Stubborn | Attentive | Sucker Shepherd is not a man of many words, and usually the ones that do come out are a bit negative. But he means no harm and is only like this when flustered or upset (which … is more often than not). He is a stickler for detail and if someone tries to cut corners (especially on their Air Trecks) he goes nuts. But he has his softer side, with an inability to snap at women and a –rather sick- fondness for anything soft and cute, he is a sucker to women everywhere… making him an easy target for things like a quick fix or help with a move. All in all he isn’t a bad guy… just rough around the edges.

History/Team history

Born into a ruined family, parents married out of wedlock and had him. He was not planned nor wanted but with the culture they would never leave him. His life was hell, never feeling affection directed at him. Quickly the young Shepherd grew dark and began to act out. Fighting at school and acting out just to receive some form of attention. This continued for years until around his eighth birthday when his sister Casey was born. Also unplanned. But, his sister would not receive the same lack of love, he loved her even if his parents didn't. Their neglected lives continued until he turned eleven and his parents moved them to his aunts house. A constant stream of reminders that they were burdens filtered through their life even in this new environment.

At the age of fifteen he was in a storm rider gang called Mechanical Reapers, rising in the ranks slowly but at a steady pace. He was aggressive and lashed out to the point of being kicked out - throwing him into the world of adulthood where he quickly began to grow up. Getting a job and sure enough getting an apartment of his own (after bumming on his friends couches for months). The aggression continued until he went after a King. Entitlement filled him and he competed in a group fight... but his dirty road and the others aggressions left him crippled for months.

Thus he began to mellow. Unable to ride he was abandoned by his group, left to pick up his broken pieces. He became withdrawn and depressed, working and continuing the mundane routine that he had become accustomed to in his slow healing process.

By the age of twenty he was in and out of the wheelchair, working for the Trek shop, and living the shallow life. Then he began trying to ride again. He will never be as good as he once was but he can do as well as any D rank rider (which allows him to get from point A to point B just fine). This progression back into the storm rider world led him to Trent. One of the kings in Jurassic and soon after Basil, his partner and soon after lover.

He is not officially in Jurassic due to a bet between him and Dawson but he is working for it and determined to get Basil to the crown he never had.

Team: Jurassic

Relationships
Basil: They met on sour terms. Fighting like cats and dogs until Trent intervened and set them on the right path. Soon they were hanging out and at the amusement part Shep heard Basil's road calling. Leaving them little choice but to be tuner and rider (a happy moment for them). Weeks passed and their friendship grew from partners to lovers. Leaving them in an ever growing relationship.

Trent: One of his best friends. Met him at the part and ... thought he was a creeper but they quickly grew past this misunderstanding and are improving as friends daily.

Kris: Doesn't know much about her except she is with Trent. They spoke once and their nerd was showing excessively.

Dawson: They. Do. Not. Like one another. A gentle talk turned into a bet... one that leaves Shepherd out of the group until Basil's levels... something that has yet to happen.
