It's really quite beautiful to be honest.
It really makes her look very motherly. It's strange because Luna used to be someone who spent 1000 years bottling up anger, hate, repression, remorse, guilt and stress yet all it took to heal it all away was love. It strangely reminds me so much of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.
And in a weird way I wouldn't mind having someone like Luna as a mom. I mean she's attentive, playful, loyal and since she can enter in one's dreams she can help you in case you have any inner demons tormenting you.

Probably the only artist I know that I don't mind seeing Luna with a "normal" mane because so beautiful.
