Description Guess who has recently discovered ‘Wicked’. After listening to the whole of the LND soundtrack, I suddenly realised I was completely off ALW. Not PotO, mind, just... ALW. And so I remembered that I had both the Wicked and Les Miz soundtracks on my computer that I’d not listened to yet. I decided to start with Wicked.

And now I’m hooked. And Erik, who’s been my Alpha Obsession for five years now, isn’t very happy about this.

Chaos ensues…

Why is my coursework personified as the Pilsbury Doughboy’s geeky brother? Because it’s that boring, that’s why! Also, it appears Glinda has a promising pupil at last!

"Defying Gravity" is the song I like most, according to the stars on Windows Media Player. Which isn't really that surprising, I guess. It's just such a damn good defiant, fist-in-the-air, feel-good song to belt out the lyrics to. Always makes me feel better, no matter how sucky I was feeling before. So yeah. That one.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Its kinda between no good deed ( becuase i love my songs bittersweet) and defying gravity becuase of all the reasons you mentions (plus she wears a kick arse costume in that scene)

id probobly goh with gravity just for the variety within the song but its a close run thing. if i had to choose an absolute fav song out the the whole score though id say "no-one mourns the wicked", followed by "not that girl" becuase theyre pretty unique songs.

*like* Because of everything you said. Yep, cannot choose an ultimate favourite song. Sorry. Totally not sorry.

Largely because the whole storyline and idea of the musical is just up my alley and totally flawless, in my own opinion. Kickass females in musicals are not something PotO-obsessed me is very used to (with the possible exception of the one and only Mme. Giry)

same, i never liked musicals (on account of the whole "drippy femles only" thing) until i saw Wicked (well i say saw, heard, i didnt see the damn production until a year later) and then i got into phantom and well the rest is history.

well at least you get fantastic weather, which is pretty shitty comfort now i think about it. TBH i may as well be in antarctica when it comes to most things like that,no good being in the right country if you aint got the money for tickets

Oh, very near. It's only a twelve hour drive when you're averaging 100kmph down the highways. *is not in any way sarcastic or bitter that Phantom might was well have been another country away*. And the irony is that Joburg - the other place Phantom showed - is about 10 hours drive away under the same conditions. South Africa is the 10th biggest country in the world and I'm totally in the wrong spot in it.

Goodbye, I'm going to sulk now. I think I'll do it outside by the pool though. Work on my tan while I do so...
