It would have been funny if Raoul's hair hit the phantom

I'm not that talented to draw something amazing like that.

Don't we worried, Raoul, LND doesn't count.
(OMG I can't believe I even prefer supporting Raoul than Love Never Dies ._.)

I only watched 30 minutes of it before I went into a rage and almost chucked my computer out of the window. So...I wouldn't know.

The discussion underneath the picture is great ^^
I'd like to participate but frankly reading the comments its the first time ever heart of Love Never Dies (Which is an actual clear evidence for it being not so good. Otherwise I would have heart of it earlier ^^)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!! This sums up *exactly* how I feel about LND. I mean, it's just too ridiculous (this is apart from if it has any pretty melodies -- I wouldn't know, I'm talking about plot alone).
And seriously. I used to romanticize the Phantom quite a bit when I was younger, but I think that's because his pain is really on the level of a child's; he's a major case of arrested development, and so solipsistic that he thinks he has the right to take lives and control others. When I got older I realized how much of a creepy stalker he is, as well as a dangerous murderer. It doesn't lessen the pity, but it definitely makes me side with Christine getting together with her childhood sweetheart who understands her lonely soul, as opposed to the guy who terrorized the entire cast of the opera house and routinely murdered people, even before he tried to trick her into thinking he was an ethereal being, then kidnap her to be his bride.

I know. I did that on purpose. But I do like Raoul. I think he's a good guy. I just can't stand Christine...I love The Phantom, I love Raoul...I just don't like Christine.

That's fair. Most Erik phans hate Raoul for "stealing" Christine, but then again SHE made the decision.
Raoul Haters tend to write fan-fiction in which he ends up dead/abandoned, but only after he does something horrid like abuse Christine, cheat on Christine, try to rape Christine, abuse "his" child(it's always "his" with the quotation marks), turn into an alcoholic, turn into a gambling addict, loses all the family's money...several of these happen to him in LND.
Give the guy a break. His only crime is being a bit bland.
And as much as I love the Phantom, I would have gone with Raoul too, on the grounds that he's not a complete psychopath.

Good, God YES!!!
ALW really should have scrapped the idea just hearing the words, "The Phantom moves to Coney Island." Coney. Fucking. ISLAND!!!
Not that there's anything wrong with Coney Island. It's just that would you expect the phantom to wind up -out of all the places on earth that are better suited for him- on Coney Island?!?!
Back to the comic. Poor Raoul looks like a flat-chested girl

That's how I was trying to make it out. Because Raoul reminds me of a girl for some reason. I love Raoul, though. In my mind whenever I listen to "Think of Me" I imagine him being exasperated with clapping.

AGREED! Phantom is one of those things that does not need a sequel. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

to your question, I answer, "no". As it turns out, Love Never Dies is quite...decent. Many people consider it a guilty pleasure show, and I am quite interested in purchasing the DVD

I haven't seen it yet. Waiting for it to come on PBS next week. The music probably is good but the plot...the plot is just...it makes no sense.

Just roll wirth it and keep an open mind. It won't be as good as Phantom, but you may find yourself enjoying it. And let me know how it turns out, okay?

Plus, the sequel isn't even canon to the novelization by Leruex. Erik should be DEAD. In every emphasis of the word.

Does the musical Phantom of the Opera even follow the book?

I suppose, but it isn't canon to the musical either. Erik probably should be dead...
It's like an AU fanfiction, except it's legit -_-

Yeah that's true
But by 1910 he could quite possibly have died, depending on how old he was in the original

Exactly. I agree.
Love Never Dies is like a poorly written Fanfiction.
