Musical Fan ArtI've always wondered how Raoul got away with interrupting Madame Giry, she doesn't seem like the kind of woman who would take that. This is how I feel she'd actually react.

I adore Raoul, but....there's no way that's not funny. You KNOW the reason Madame Giry carries that stick is to whack people with.
Of course, that doesn't make the story she tells from the movie any less ridiculous (if Raoul had interrupted to say, "Wait, doesn't that technically make you an accessory to murder? Or at least aiding and abetting a murderer?" I would totally have understood, but nobody questions the logic!)

Yeah I guess so. Darn Raoul..... I'll admit the Phantom wasn't perfect and there are some things he would have had to work on before getting married to anyone { read: Christine } but IDK Raoul is just.... blah. Oh well.

This was always a wtf moment for me it's like, he interrupted her just to to tell her to keep talking 0.o That's like saying "wake up! you gotta go to sleep!!"
