History

Pre-Life:
Mallowpaw's parents had the unlucky misfortune of having their only daughter on the journey from the old territories to the new ones. When her mother, Pebblefeather, discovered she was pregnant on the journey, she was filled with the fear that her kits would be born before they reached the new territories. She prayed to StarClan that they wouldn't, and her prayers were half-answered. Her kits weren't born in the new territories, but she also wasn't trapped kitting on the harsh journey, instead having her kits while the Clans had stopped to stay with the Tribe briefly.

Kithood:
Mallowkit was born amongst the Tribe on the Clans' journey to the new territories, the only daughter of Pebblefeather and Marshwing of ShadowClan. When she opened her eyes a few days after she was born, her parents were horrified by the disparity between one pretty amber eye and another milky, unmoving one. However, after a few days they could see that she was mostly functional (albeit with a bit of bumping into things and being surprised on her right side). Her father was still put off by her appearance, and treated her like she'd never amount to anything because of her half-sight. By the time she was old enough to walk on her own, the Clans had just about reached their new territories, and she was shut in the new ShadowClan nursery apart from many of the cats she'd been around her entire life. Territory life seemed odd to her at first, but she adjusted eventually. Still, she wasn't completely sure how she felt about the separation of the clans.

Apprenticeship:

Mallowpaw became a warrior apprentice a little ways after the clans settled into their new home. She became familiar with the territories as everyone did, and was assigned to the warrior Peachshine as a new apprentice. However, throughout the beginning of her apprenticeship, she displayed her general lack of skill at all the tasks warriors were expected to do. She wasn't very good at hunting, and even with training, her battle skills were entirely lackluster in every way. It seemed as though she'd never be even close to ready for her assessments.

On top of all of that, her mentor became distant soon after she was apprenticed. Peachshine seemed worried about something, though she wouldn't share what that was with her apprentice. Eventually, she disappears along with other cats from other clans, and doesn't return for a long time. When she does, however, it's alongside newly named medicine cats from the other clans. She's been chosen on behalf of ShadowClan. Mallowpaw is dismayed by this, she loves her mentor, and she doesn't want another one, especially not a stricter one who would punish her for her inability to perform basic warriors' duties. However, Peachshine has other plans for her, and when she asks Mallowpaw to follow her into the medicine den, Mallowpaw is ecstatic to oblige.

Peachshine, chosen by the moon flower to become the new medicine cat of ShadowClan, and Birchdusk of RiverClan, were the only cats to return from the search, with the disappearance of Nutpaw and Goldenpaw, leaving the Clans in a continued precarious position. It was even more dire when later, Peachshine too disappeared from the clans after barely finishing Mallowpaw's training and naming her Mallowcloud.

Medicine-Catship:
Mallowcloud was named at the Moon Flower alongside Antbite of WindClan, the only other remaining medicine cat apprentice, and shortly after her mentor disappeared too, feeding into her mistrust of her position because of its precariousness. She served for a few moons, getting her paws under her, and worked with Antbite to train the new generation of medicine cats throughout the other clans. It is her hope that together, they will finally be able to last.
