This is stupid! There are 31, 536, 000 seconds in a year. I've checked all of my text books, I've checked the internet, heck, I even asked the teacher! You think to yourself as you furiously press the buttons on your trusty scientific calculator.

I even considered the leap year, I even considered the exact amount of time the earth completes a revolution, I even considered the whole SI year thingy, but he still says I'm wrong!

A certain someone gave you a question, and being the smarty-pants that you are, you had instantly given your answer, but that certain someone told you it was wrong.

That certain someones is actually the leader of the Math team in your school who also turns out to be your life long crush, Eduard Von Bock.

You had just confessed your feelings for him last week with the help of a few of your friends and since said friends are also very aggressive, they asked him what he thinks of you, and his reply was actually this:

"I'll tell her how I really feel if one of you can give an answer to my question." He said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Just a question, huh? Then bring it! I'm sure my friend can give the answer." Your best friend, Elizaveta, replied as she gave you a pat on the back. "She's the smartest girl in our group of friends, you know!"

"Shut up, Elizaveta." You gave your friend a dark look, and then you turned to Eduard. "W-Well, since I really want to know what you think of me... I'll... I'll take that question."

"How many seconds are there in a year?" He said and you couldn't help but smile. You've known the answer to that question thanks to the quiz-bee you had a few weeks back. But the moment you told him your answer, he smirked and told you, "No.".

I've already done the Math for more than a hundred times, and I still get the same answer! Maybe I'm multiplying it in a wrong way? Let's see here...

"Psssst! Psssst!" Someone behind you is trying to catch your attention, making you lose a bit of your concentration.

When you choose to ignore that person, he then, starts poking your back.

The foolish fool who's tying to catch my attention while I'm working on something, must have a death wish. You say to yourself as you turn around to face none other than your current project partner, Feliciano Vargas. "What is it?!"

"Veh? Y-You're scaring me!!! I was just gonna try to ask something, but you got mad and gave me a really scary look!" He is about to cry, and since you didn't want to catch the teacher's attention, you try your best to shut him up.

"N-No... It's okay... I'm not mad." You comfort him by giving him a forced smile.

"Oh, really? That's great then!" He says as the bright smile on his face returns. "I was just wondering... Do I have to go to your house later today to add the finishing touches to our project?"

"No. It's been done days ago, Feli. We don't have to add anything else. If there are a few finishing touches, I'll add them myself." You reply as you turn back to your calculator.

"Okay... I'll just go to your house on the actual day of the project submission, then! I'll help you carry the project."

"Sure. Thanks, Feli."

"Just remember to hide your really scary dog on the twenty-second of February, okay? I don't want him chasing me all over your lawn again." He says as his face starts to grow a bit more worried.

"Sure... Wait! What did you just say?"

One word from Feli suddenly catches your attention.

"I don't want your big, scary dog chasing me all over your lawn again." He answers.

"No, before that!"

"Uhm... Hide the dog?"

"No! Something about the twenty-second of... something!"

"Oh! The twenty-second of February! That's the date of submission... The twenty-second of February."

That's it! You throw your calculator away and pump your fist in the air.

"Did something happen? Why do you look so happy?" Feliciano asks.

"It's nothing, Feli. You just gave me the answer I've been looking for and it makes me so happy. I'll even buy you pasta for the whole week as thanks." You answer as you pull him into a quick hug.

"Really? Yay~ I didn't know what answer I gave, but I'm glad!" He says as he hugs back.

Right after class ends, you hurriedly run out of your classroom and search for Eduard to give him your answer.

You find him hanging out in the computer-lab as usual, so you decide to enter without hesitation, not even caring if a teacher is actually inside or if he's in a meeting.

"Hey! Eduard!" You call out to him with one of the brightest smiles on your face.

"Yes? I never expected you to visit me while I'm guarding the computer lab. So this is a bit of a surprise." He replies, not even taking his eyes off of the computer screen.

"It's a bit important, you see... Uhm... It's about your question last week!"

"Oh? You mean the answer to "How many seconds there are in a year?"."

"Yes. That!"

"What about it, then?" He asks as he finally takes his eyes off of the screen and turns to look at you.

"Well... I know the answer already! It's twenty-four! The second and twenty-second of each month! Those were the seconds you're asking, right?" You proclaim, feeling a little bit proud of yourself.

"You may be one of the top students in class, but there are times that you can be a little bit slow, huh? I asked that question a week ago and you only realized it now." He says with a smirk, shattering the happy and proud feeling you have inside you.

"Grrrr. How was I supposed to know that it was a trick question? Don't you dare call me slow, Eduard Von Bock!" You retort indignantly.

"Well, if you weren't really slow, then you could have already given me the actual answer right after I said "No.", but you decided to think about the question for a little bit longer." He replies. "But no matter, your slowness is one of..." He suddenly pauses and looks away from you so as to hide the light blush that appeared on his face. "...th-the many things I like about you."

You are about to give him a punch for insulting your intelligence, but the last bit takes you by surprise. Making you lower your clenched right hand that you would supposedly use to make his nose bleed.

"One of the many things you like about me?" You repeat his last remark slowly and he nods his head as he looks into your eyes.

"Y-Yes. Didn't I tell you that if you manage to give me the correct answer, I will tell you how I really feel?" He says, the light blush growing darker by the second. "W-Well, that's what I'm doing now. I'm telling you that I like you."

You are really ecstatic to hear everything he just said, but you choose to tease him a little by making fun of him.

"Why, that is one of the lamest confessions I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing."

He looks at you with a bewildered expression on his face that almost makes you laugh out loud. "What ever do you mean?"

"I mean... Come on, Eduard, I am a nerd too, but at least I managed to make my confession more interesting by-- mpppf!" You are suddenly interrupted by Eduard, crashing his lips into yours and all you can do was widen your eyes in shock. However, the moment some of the upper-class men who are using the internet, stops what they're doing and starts whistling while taking pictures with their camera-phones, you push him away.

"Okaaaay... I was intentionally teasing you to see how'd you react, but I never expected you to actually kiss me!" You say as one of your hands flies up to touch your lips.

"Oh... Oh! I'm truly, very, deeply sorry about that! I... I didn't know what got through me, b-but..." Eduard suddenly trails off and his face turns from a blushing beet red, to a pale and almost bluish color.

You raise your eyebrows in confusion and turn around to see what he's looking at, making you bump into something that's huge, unexpectedly warm and wearing a tan-colored coat.

Tanned coat... Huge... Oh, oh shit... I'm dead. If I look up, the last thing I'll see is a pair of great, big purple eyes and then I'll die. Dear Me... It's been a nice life. I'm sorry I had to make you die after letting you experience your first kiss. You close your eyes and prepare yourself for whatever may come.

"Mi-Mister Braginski! What are you doing here?" Eduard asks in an attempt to get rid of the awkward atmosphere.

"I already found Toris and Ravis. I wanted to go home, but Eduard was taking so long, so I looked for him, but I didn't expect to find him... making out with such a pretty, young lady." He says with a creepy smile that can make even the Joker run away with his tail between his legs.

"N-No! I wasn't making out with her, sir. I was... uh... helping her practice for a play!" Eduard answers.

"Oh... I'll be looking forward to this play, then." Ivan finishes and then walks away from you, making you breath a short sigh of relief. "If you are done, then let us go, Eduard."

"O-Of course, sir!" He comes closer to you the moment he's sure that Ivan won't turn around anymore and whispers something into your ear. "Sorry I've put you through all this. I'll talk to you tomorrow, okay?"

You nod your head quickly and push him to make him go. Thinking that if Ivan realizes that the two of you are still talking, you can kiss your extended life goodbye.

Fortunately, Eduard gets the message and leaves without any other word.

Extended Ending.

"What is this play about, Eduard?" Ivan asks the moment him, Toris, Ravis and Eduard are inside their home.

"Uh... Well... It's a tragedy... by... by..." Eduard stutters, desperately trying to come up of anything.

Then all of a sudden, Eduard feels his phone vibrate in the right pocket of his pants. Thinking of it as his saving grace, he instantly whips it out to see who called.

And upon seeing the name of the girl he just kissed a little while ago on the phone's screen, he closes his eyes for a bit and regains his composure.

"Who is that?" Ivan asks.

"It's the school principal. He must want to talk to me for the student-teacher program. He wanted me to teach I.T studies, after all." Eduard replies calmly. "Now if you would please excuse me, I'd like to take this call in my room."

Eduard walks away as he presses the answer button.

"Oh, well... Hey... Wanna hear about my day?" Ivan turns to Eduard's two brothers, completely forgetting about what he and Eduard were talking about.

"D-Damn it, Eduard! You got yourself out of a mess again!" Toris proclaims as he starts shaking like a leaf.
