getting to college is at the end of that plan but honestly I'm just trying to get those all done beforehand. I'm going to go to college mainly for the ASL stuff, and hope they have some computer-y classes I could join in as a bonus. Maybe I can ask if they allow one to get two degrees. Well, that's a good plan. You gotta get your license ahead of everything. That's really how you get around.
As for college, it's okay if you want to wait until you have everything together. I had a councilor who didn't go to college until she was 36: it was better for her that way. I'm not saying you have to wait that long, but you shouldn't feel rushed.
As for me, I'll be starting as a Junior at this new college: it'll be my first year moving out. I'm a bit nervous, of course, but with telephones and the internet, I'm really not that far from my family. Plus they're only going to be an hour away so it's not like I won't be able to see them often.
Also, my brother and I don't share an account, so if you see me on, then it's me. and it's okay to come talk to me.Β

haha I just have to get someone with a license to travel with me as I learn on the road. I'm planning to ask my grandparents in a bit, because as much as they don't like me, they do love gossip and praise. If not them, maybe I could ask my brother up north if I could hang with him a bit, just until I learn the roads.
My parents refuse to let me out on the roads, and using the front yard is boring as all hell, mate. I know all the buttons and knobs on my car, I know what does what, and really it's just getting repetitive at this point lmao.
The thing about college, though, is that I'm wondering if they'd allow me to bring my tortoise. My family have no idea how to care for torts properly ahaha
Also wondering what to bring for dorming n stuff. It's super early for thinking about that, but it's probably easier to plan out earlier than ever, just in case I end up being kicked out of the house haha

It depends on where you dorm. They may or may not. As for what to bring, you may want to see what your potential dorm looks like before planning that stuff out.Β
I haven't gotten too homesick lately, but I've definitely felt out of my comfort zone plenty of times. And an hour away isn't too far for me: before I transfered, I used to have to drive 45 minutes to my college and back pretty much every day. That sucked total butt.
Living on my own is pretty good though: I got my own bathroom. I'm pretty pleased about that. And my kitchen won't run out of food any time soon.Β
My brother has his own account now, so it's all coolness. It should be only me the next time you chat me.Β

The dorm I've been keepin' my hopes up for is much like a mini apartment - has its own bathroom, kitchen, etc. I mean, I don't think they're gonna have the appliances in there, but I can't really know until I schedule a tour or something.
The pros about this college is that there's a lot of places really close by with free wifi, and many coffee shops. It's like a good 2 minute walk to get to the first coffee shop, which is on-campus, I think. That's really good ahaha coffee=LIFE.

Ooh, well that's good! Better than some of the dorms I've heard about. My friend's dorm room is just one bedroom. and that guy's the Resident Mentor so he has like the best room. But it's not very impressive.

My classes are from 9:40 to 12:50 on Mons, Weds, and Fris while my classes are 10:05 to 5:35 on Tues and Thurs. I have a super long Drawing class.Β

Though I know tortoises are different. have you thought about getting him any cybernetic enhancements? Like maybe a robotic shell you can open up and put stuff inside for storage?Β
