Sadly, not any time soon. I have yet to find SAI anywhere, and don't have a means to buy the full version haha.
Gimp isn't very cooperative when it comes to coloring something like this (or, well, it might be, but I have yet to find an actual method for me that works.)

Thank you, though! I'm so happy you like it!  - I was thinking of him as kind of peachy color, with perhaps purple, or red mixed in, but if you have any suggestions of any color combinations, I'd love to hear them!

I like the colors you've chosen! They all fit along a similar spectrum of the color wheel and will blend well. As for suggestions... hmmm... this dragon actually reminds me a lot of skinks, so maybe you could draw some color palettes from those? Here are few examples of some skinks that share similar color schemes to yours (#1 , #2 , #3 ). It might be neat to throw in a little complimentary contrasting color too! Maybe something light if you're gonna be using a dark color somewhere else. Something blue/green would work really well in contrast to all the warm reds and orange-y stuff going on! You could either incorporate that into the design or even do some fancy lighting stuff to add in the color without it being a direct part of the character

Oh dear! That's unfortunate! If you're looking for a free art program that still has good capabilities, there is a free version of Sketchbook available. I know it works for MAc computers—it might for Windows as well? as for photo-editing apps that work for art on the side, another good program is Pixelmator (again for Mac computers). Not 100% sure if it's free, but I'm pretty sure it is! Do you use a tablet at all? I have some suggestions for good cheap ones of those as well! Also, if you have a tablet you can download a free art app and use a handheld stylus to draw/paint over the picture. I have a few friends that do that! Hope this rambling is useful!

I currently have huion's 680S tablet, but something tells me that's not the kind of tablet you were thinking ahaha
Thank you for the suggestions, though! I have been using gimp for the longest time now, and it doesn't like me at all!
There is a few art techniques that I've found that might give the drawing some life, but every tutorial I have found so far is in SAI
my old computer does have sai but 
i absolutely hate that little monster of a gateway laptop and am planning to build a flamethrower just to rid the world of it's evil presence

As for the colors, thank you so much for the suggestions there as well! - I really loved the color scheme of this fella, here [X] !
I'll have to play with colors and combinations for them, but so far those are really good suggestions! Thank you so much!!

Oh whoops! I accidentally used "tablet" twice for 2 different things.  Sorry for the confusion! For the first couple times I meant a drawing tablet like the ones that wacom makes. For the other times, I meant a handheld tablet with a screen, such as an iPad or something similar.

Happy to help! Good luck with your old laptop, I understand far to well how troublesome those things can be
