Hello! I LARP as an Orc as well and can never get my green makeup to look right. You did an outstanding job with your face makeup! Any tips on what kind of makeup I should purchase or the application technique?Β

Hi, I don't know what kind of make-up you find in the US. I use theater make-up, it holds pretty well even with the sweat and all. I cover in dark green, and add some touches of black and light green to make some parts pop out and smudge it a bit to make sure there's no sharp lines. that's it. Hope it helps!

It looks incredible! I need to hire one of these for a photoshoot because I am creating an Orc Prosthetic Make-Up and would like to photograph it in costume. Do you hire out your costumes or know of anywhere that does? thanks so much

Thanks! i couldn't lend you this costume if i wanted because it has benn heavily modified and reworked over the years and the mask broke. Anyway i think we live too far away.
There are a lot of larpers in the uk though. Teir main LARP is "the gathering" i think. You should look there. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.Β

this ones the world's biggest LARP in Germany. There are some in the US too but they're not so great. Try canada, they have one called Bi colline that is awesome.

How did you make the mask?
π: 0 β©: 1
silvercrow In reply to AnonymousLarper [2012-07-28 09:44:42 +0000 UTC]
it was made out of fimo clay, it's a kind of clay that hardens in the oven.
That was actually a bad idea since it's very fragile, it broke quickly.
Resin is stronger, harder to work with but much more resistant.

I really like the way you've "mixed-and-matched" things together for this, the overall effect is superb, and the level of detail is astonishing. Totally brilliant job!
