Electric Eel (Elmer) hanging out with his snail buddies.

After being brutally yelled at by a familiar green plankton, he ran away to Jellyfish Fields. He didn't want his life to be "a swirling torrent of pain and misery". He wasn't necessarily the sharpest tool in the shed, so he took it very seriously. He wanted to hide from society forever. This was when he met a stray snail named Adeline. She already had 3 bouncing baby sons and a daughter. The baby snails comforted him when he was sad or scared. They made him change his views about life and in turn, he became a much happier person. He still did have his moments where he was anxious, but his snail buddies were always there for him.
This would be the home of Electric Eel for the next 15 years until he was confident enough to return back to Bikini Bottom. When he returned, he apologized to Spongebob for stealing his ice cream cone. The two became good friends after.

Note: The baby snails names are:

- Clyde (boy snail with the green shell)

- Reggie (boy snail with the red shell who's sleeping)

- Midnight (boy snail with the dark blue shell who's on top of Elmer's nose)

- Korra (girl snail with the pink shell who's gnawing on Elmer's back fin)

Midnight: Mew!

Korra: *purrs happily as she continues to gnaw on his back fin*

Electric Eel: *laughs as he cuddles both Clyde and Midnight in his arms*

I just love stories about people (sea creatures) befriending other animals, anthropomorphic or not. >3
