As some of you may have heard we have had another devastating earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. Although there has, tragically, been loss of life in collapsed buildings there have also been some lighter moments.This bottle of Banrock red wine was thrown to it's 'death' in my girlfriend's house..... this is how we discovered it when we got home.

Yes... the fall during the earthquake damaged the screw-cap seal. So that is it's trail of 'blood' that it left at the crime scene.
As it was leaking and would spoil we took the only course of action available.... and drank it.

I saw this and was like, I hope this isn't some inconsiderate joke about earthquakes considering my country just had one, then I clicked on the picture and was like, phew! Oh hey, another kiwi! The earthquake situation is absolutely terrible, and I feel slightly guilty even about the fact that I was able to go to school today. I hope you and the family are ok

I do have pictures of fallen buildings, crushed buses etc. where people have lost their lives but there are lighter moments in the face of this disaster that hopefully will make someone smile.

Yeah, we're a resilient little country, we'll get through somehow. I watched a video on a woman getting rescued from one of the buildings and it was just heartwarming. Stay strong
