Hi Joseph... No I think we should use what makes your alpha YOUR ALPHA.
The group is Alpha-Mount... so as far as I'm concerned as long as it's an alpha lens (preferably on an Alpha body) then go for it....
Just remember to keep it square and the centre of the lens dead centre. (failing that fire the image to the forum and Alex will fix it)

Hehe, cause my favorite lens is the 70-400mm... and you might not see much of the camera behind the huge 77mm diameter lens
