Following the trend that Crobat started, I’m now working on shading by overlapping layers of hand-picked variations (usually darker) of my base colours. This is finally making the Normal blending mode work, so it’s progress. I wanted to draw Sensu Oricorio alongside this one since I like both of them a lot, but then decided against it since there’d be relatively little space; I probably will still draw the Sensu one outside of this project, at any rate.
