Dove, was only possible, because her mother Starlight Glimmer, student of Princess Twilight Sparkle, transformed herself with a mighty spell into a stallion. Some magical echo of this spell lingered in Dove, but it had no affect on her. Then Dove and Artemis met, fell in love and Dove got pregnant. Problem is, Artemis was an Alicorn, offspring of the moon godess Luna herself, and their child would have alicorn magic too. But being surrounded by the echo of Starlights powerful spell triggered the alicorn magic even before birth and the unborn foal started to switch gender again and again. As the foal was born nopony could tell if it was male or female - the young heir of the night kept changing gender. The proud and slightly surprised parents named it Calli, short for Callisto/a. Once the foal was old enough, they wanted to let him/her decide if he/she wanted to be a mare or a stallion. Until then they oppressed Callis alicorn magic and raised him/her without gender.

Calli grew into a very kind, but reserved pony, at first he hated the odd looks others gave him for having no gender, but he learned to accept being not only male or female. He actually grew very proud of that fact, seeing the possibilities. He decided to take the body of his female self and the title of a Prince of Equestria. In his oppinion it'll make him a greater ruler if he understands both genders as his own, as both mares and stallions are his subjects. And, of course, he could make the world better for every genderless pony to come, for a prince with no certain gender would help ponies to learn acceptance. The day he declared this, he got his cutiemark: A moon, part dark, with one black and one white wing. His destiny is it to be both the bright and the dark side of the moon and his special talent is it to understand both sides of a coin and to bring balance. This isn't limited to gender, being a hybrid with his fangs in his lower jaw, his curved horn and those strange feathers on his ears and his tail, he can relate to nightish ponies, regular ponies and hybrids.

Prince Callisto is loyal, but independent and always tries to do the right thing. He doesn't see his royalty as his own pleasure, but as a responibility for all his subjects. He may not be a social butterfly, but hell, you can trust him to do almost everything to help. He has still a lot to learn and he knows it, but but that doesn't reduce his self-confidence and his courage.

I'm sorry for the quality of the picture, my bitten hand is still hurt and I can't draw better atm. To be honest, I shouldn't have drawn this, my hand hurts a lot, but I just love the design an idea. I love to create... I love to draw... I want to draw more again Q_Q xD
