Something is Watching You From the Darkness

In these summer nights it is common practice that you stay awake and don't want to sleep due to the heat, at a certain point in the middle of the night living alone you find your house entangled in darkness.
you hear the most unusual noises and... you see the drunken shadows of the trees moving at a fast pace: it's just a little windy! 😂
...
The wood of the old window frames screech in sinister sounds, to recall ancient fears and crushed mice but you can't see anything: it's only the house that is old! 😏
...
You hear strange squeaks as if a fork were crawling downstairs, and you remember that you had left it downstairs: it must be that I didn't do the rat extermination carefully! 🙄
...
it's half past 2 in the morning when you hear what seems to be a ticking of drops: damn...! you didn't close the tap properly. 🤬
...
while you get up to go to the bathroom, with very dragging steps and mumbling gurgles from your tired mouth, but something can be glimpsed from the window.... it passes quickly they looked like two big lights... at that point you think it's just tiredness... but something like if you have the impression that on the wall there are three black lines in relief but your eyes close!
the house seems to swing around you, as if it came to life and began to echo a metallic sound, the windows from which they were distant ... step by step they approach each other becoming round... is the house staring at you? 😳

BARK! BARK!
the house from the darkness begins to bark? everything becomes so confused and for that dark faceted night it is no longer a safe zone, no longer a warm and sweet home... the home that crushes your mind, drowning it in discomfort... those barks so distorted as if someone had modified the voice with a microphone... yet those eyes get bigger and bigger, they are two disquieting pale moons 🌕🌕

you don't know if what you see is real or not, you know that discomfort and terror is tightening your throat preventing you from gushing those screams of fear, you force yourself and start to lock yourself in the bathroom... the two moons seem to have disappeared into thin air, it seemed like a strange illusion... everything calms down and the night seems to have returned to being human 🥺

what you see in the mirror is your self, your fear contorting your own face enveloping itself gradually taking on more distorted hues
and a voice equal to yours tells you "I am you, but you are not me!"
confused you see the distorted you transform that grin widening to a sickle full of sharp stalactites ... in fear you scream and cover the mirror. When you discover the cursed object, your reflection appears to have never had anything of what it turned into... Whats happening there? 🤔

opening the door at the end of the corridor before going to the bedroom, you believe that all this has been a heavy dinner, and wearily you throw yourself on the bed 😴

when you wake up it feels like the night has never passed, it's all dark and you're all sweaty and your experience feels like it was just a nightmare, when you turn on the other side of the bed you feel an acrid smell, very strong, ferrous... and you touch something indefinite soft, when you turn on the light you have a human heart in your hands, it's yours! 👹

do you know it's yours? because you have an abyss on your chest! how could this happen? How can you live? at which point you begin to hear loud growls and see us manifest around in a corner, lights apparently look like stars or maybe fireflies, forming the two moons reappear...! do you see there something that is a mixture between a dog or maybe a black tiger??? you can't figure it out but it also has devilishly human expressions! the muzzle is smeared with blood, you cannot bear this vision and terror assails you to the point that you faint 😱

you wake up in the morning thinking it was a nightmare, but you see your chest it's the only real thing about this bad business is the bloody dress on your chest without being torn and the bestial footprints on the wooden floor... what was real and what was fake...? 💀
