lol! very nice! thats a great scene in the movie especially with the fighting between nala and simba... but has anyone noticed that in the last fight scene with scar and simba... that its like... theyre just... bitch slapping eachother constantly?

actually lions really do that. most territorial fights begin as wrestling and pounding matches with a lot of hits, and than escalate to the serious, life-threatening stuff. that's why they really go in for intimidation tactics first -- so a fight does NOT escalate into a killing-match. there's a hell of a lot of power behind those blows. biologists think that's one of the functions of the mane -- to act as armor during fights with other males.
cats are lethal weapons. even a cute little one can seriously injure a human if provoked. in lions, we are looking at a cat that's 250lb (113kg) to @450lb (204kg), that can drag a large animal equal to, or MORE than its own weight (like a cow), over a tall chain-link fence with almost no effort. a single lioness can drag a full-grown horse away from where she pulled it down and killed it. lions and other cats have muscles to spare, and they use them.

thank you. she is a powerful and beautiful cat. i want to try to do my own version of her drinking out of the jungle pool (where she raises her eyes) as soon as i can figure out how to plan it out properly. (sarafina [brushtail] did the best one ever a few years back that still mesmerizes me.)

There's so many different ways this could have turned out... So many ways the storyline could have been altered massively.
Like, What if instead of running, Pumbaa stood and fought, Possibly injuring or doing worse to Nala, Therefore she never... "Met up" with him and never convinced hi to return to the Pridelands...
Or what if Nala caught Pumbaa...
What if Nala never did find Pumbaa... Would she have ever found Simba?
Oh just looking at this picture gets me thinking SO many different outcomes.
