I see it isn't simple... sometime to draw somethink like I want ti do I have to delete and draw again for 3 or 4 times... It's hard, but exercise give you the key to grow up!

Si tratta di una cosa personale, c'è chi preferisce i pastelli, chi gli acquerelli o le tempere e così via.
A me piace molto lavorare coi pastelli, sento di avere molto controllo su quello che sto facendo ^_^

Yes, sometimes people draw each feather, but I think it takes a very long time for realize, and I usally like to do a draw very fast. I don't remeber exactly... but I think I did this draw in 10 or 15 minutes.
I think this type of tecnique here gives the idea of the smooth consistence of the head of a bird.
Yes, it was intentional! It is a white tuft, and I think here it doesn't give the idea of softness... I'm sorry about it!

I love the long, swooping strokes you used for the feathers of the head. Most people try to draw each individual feather, but the technique you used gives it a nicer feel. The eyes are also very well done, they look very realistic. The only thing that seems a little off is the area right above the beak, it looks like a blad patch on the eagle's face. Unless, of course, that was intentional. ^^

I love birds too. My favourite are birds of prey, and parrots (they're so colored! I love colors!).
