Character: GolbezSeries: Final Fantasy IV (video game)
Cosplayer: my husband
My husband has a taste for evil characters, and as he cosplayed Shishio and Cobra before, this year he chose to cosplay the epic Golbez from Final Fantasy IV (DS version) to debut at ACen 2010.
Construction took months, many all-nighters, and blood, sweat, and tears. The armor consists of stryene, for which we made paper/craft foam patterns before cutting and heat forming. We worked on each part of the cosplay piece by piece with great care. My husband wanted to be larger than life-- with the raised boots and helmet horns, he was a towering 8-foot tall dark knight!
Quite an exciting con... and of course, cosplaying is an art and I enjoy every moment of it.

It was really choice to see that at Acen 2010. Say...has your husband ever considered cosplaying as Ghaleon from Lunar? I ask this because you said he likes evil characters.

He made me very happy that I desided to go this year! I'm attually sad that I didn't see a kefka so I'm trying to lose weight for the next con so I can dress up as Kefka.
He did a very good job and I'm glad he worked so hard on his costume. It's defientally my favorate cosplay yet.
