man I love this, I can feel the devastation with the movement and all the details of the explosion and the pieces flying off. his oh shit expression does it the most for me though. its really powerful in that sense.

Ugh...legal issue with someone who worked on the comics.
Him and several other are poof *gone* that why the 'world reboot' happened, to help them find a way to work without them.

Maybe an A.I. perhaps? Just like Nicole. This idea kinda sprung up because Shard seems to have feelings for her in the old universe(or that's just me shipping them). Having them both as A.I. could be nice-and then Shard gets a metal body which enables him to kick a ton of Badniks butts.

Well, it doesn't seem like he's gone completely...
Sure, his Metal Sonic body may be gone, but it kind of seems like Ian's going to try and have his character live on through Gemerl.
I mean think about it.
He was evil once (If they're going by game canon) but now he's on the side of good, He's got the same color scheme, and from what's been shown so far he seems to have a bit of snark to him.
He may not be able to be as expressive as Shard ( What with a lack of a mouth and all ) but I'll take Gemerl over nothing any day!

Ahhh Gemerl's cool and I'm actually really happy he's in the comics FINALLY, but it's just not the same for me. I was most excited about Shard because of his relationships with Nicole, Chuck, and Larry, and without that some of the magic's gone.
That said, I'm still super excited to see what they do with Gemerl after the crossover's done with. I hope he gets a little more spotlight sooner rather than later!
