I very rarely do fan art, and this is more "inspired by" than a faithful depiction of any given scene, but THAT chapter from book 4 of Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive begged for *some* form of tribute. It was a painful, moving, occasionally funny and very, very hard-hitting read near the end of a year that only seemed to get worse and worse. So, to send off the extended collective nightmare that was 2020, I offer you the most honest inspirational quote I can think of. To whoever needs to hear it: keep going, there is always light somewhere in the tunnel, and there are always people willing to fend off some lightning for you.

(This also doubles as practice with the second-hand Wacom I bought on a whim maybe half a year (or was it a lifetime?) ago and only used a handful of times so far. Alas, MediBang Paint Pro, while it's a nice, easy, intuitive little drawing program that I rather like, *doesn't* seem capable of bending my text in an arc, so I did the best I could by rotating it word by word.)
