I nerded out so hard.This is a map for a DnD campaign I'll be running. It was originally drawn on three sheets of graph paper. It is obviously not on graph paper anymore, because I re-inked the whole thing digitally and colored it and labeled it until my eyes bled.
And that, kids, is why I am uploading it to deviantART. >:7
"Fantasy!" you say, "Oh sin! What is this world coming to! You hate fantasy!" and in reply I simply say "Yes. I do."

Not in the Saharan sense, unless you go pretty far to the West, but it's kinda wasteland-y in the Western Lands.

The lines add to the feel of it being a map actually.
I'd add a scale figure on the bottom right though.
And a dash of green for grasslands, and around rivers. Unless woodlands change into wasteland/desert without any transition nowadays?

I always forget the scale figure. Actually, the reason this hasn't got one is 'cause the maps I copied it from don't have a scale figure either, 'cause I'm that kind of forward-thinking genius, obviously. I have to do some math to work out the scale.
I decided not to differentiate between grassland and sorta-grassland on the map 'cause it's such a large scale map. I've got a bunch of zoomed in views that go into a lot more detail about terrain, but I'm not posting those.
