I love Leopold Bloom, honestly. Gene Wilder was fantastic as him... if only they'd done the musical version of The Producers back in '68! I liked Matthew Broderick in the new one, but there's no way that Ferris Bueller can measure up to Gene in my book. (I MUCH preferred most of the rest of the cast though... especially Nathan Lane over Zero Mostel.)So yeah, here's a little doodle of Bloom with his blue blanket. ^^ I have a thing for neurotic dorks.

I totally agree about the casting. Nathan Lane is freaking incredible, but Matthew's...not a great Leo. xP

I love this! I didnt see that version of the movie, I saw the musical that came out in 2005. I want to see that version though, because the one with nathan lane and matthiew broderick is so amazing. wow, your drawing skills are incredible!

Haha! It's good; don't expect as much glitz as the remake. In essence, the musical is better; they really improved on just about everything. But Wilder's performance is amazing; watch it for that. :3

Aww, he looks so cute in this drawing! I love the expression you gave him, and the coloring is nice, too. 
And you're right, as much as I love Matthew Broderick and think he looks more like a Leo-type (at least in my mind), Gene Wilder was great as Leo. Especially when it came to being hysterical - his face goes completely red! I love the rest of the cast from the new movie, though, especially Nathan Lane as Max. He has more energy in the role.

I especially love the bit in the bar (in the original) - it's a short part of the scene and Leo doesn't say anything, he's just slouched over the bar with his cup in his mouth... I don't know why but that made me laugh for ages!

He's absolutely enrapturing onscreen. It truly is magic. I admire that man so much... he is a wonderful actor.
I recently read his autobiography... you should check it out when you have the time. It's called "Kiss Me Like a Stranger," and they have it at the public library. It's... incredible.
