a lot of the time when i show someone these personal works they're like "oh! that looks like you!"... i'm so flattered by this because to me these paintings are like an idealization of myself... but i don't want to come across as vain or conceited, if anything it's the complete opposite. I'm trying to love myself and accept myself as I am - physically, mentally, emotionally...
I'm learning to love all aspects of myself through these works. This series of portraits are also a reflection of my emotions at the time of painting. To me I can really see how I've grown as a person and what's been happening just by reviewing the arts.
There's a definitive gap in the art and jump in emotions, which I am so grateful for. I'm in a much better place and hope to keep growing ❤

Ahh, you finished it, I'm so glad to see the finished product! I really enjoyed seeing all the WIPS on snapchat between us and was so excited to see it fully formed. You're so very good at capturing such .. details and grace in your works. The painting style is gorgeous, I'm so curious how you paint, it's amazing! I especially love how you did the lips and how the hands frame the face. These works really do look like you, dear, you're so good at capturing your own self image <3
