)I get nostalgic sometimes.... Okay... I get nostalgic A LOT.
One thing I do to sate my nostalgia is to go back and read stories I've long since finished. Recently I decided to re-read Archmage. A nice (slightly smutty, but I skipped most of it) story about Twilight becoming the new Archmage of Canterlot. Whilst reading this, I saw that all the spinoffs were cancelled. As it turns out, Loyal, the author of the story, sadly passed away a year ago.
I never knew him but I felt like honouring his memory with this picture, which I think is one of my finest yet (but opinions may differ)

Very nice, that's something that Lauren Faust would wish for Twilight Sparkle's future: To make her a archmage, instead of Meghan McCarthy and her idea to her an Alicorn Princess.

I do miss having her as a Unicorn - it gave a sort of balance to the Mane 6 - 2 of each race. I'm not averse to Ascension - I mean the whole concept is a big thing in the story "Archmage" - but we need more Unicorn Twi too

Read that story too, but I never know the author passed away. That's sad.
Smutty? Yeah. This was a Twiluna story and it was why I read it first. Blame me, I love that ship that will never happen, but is sweet.
