Character comes from Dust: An Elysian Tail. If you haven't tried this game, go do so! It's cheap and VERY GOOD.

I'm still new to this so please disregard vision and originality for the moment.
I think a good background would improve depth and impact. As for technique I'm actually real fan of this style, but I also feel the shading is off by a very miniscule amount. The proportions of the body spot on with good over lapping
All in All its really good and I'm finding it difficult to not stare into her eyes.

Thank you so much for the helpful critique! This was the first piece of art i had done in 3-4 weeks so I felt i needed to get back in the saddle slowly, and doing backgrounds is something I'll slowly get into - the focus was more or less on our lovely nimbat <3

The game itself has been out for over a year. It was originally an XBox Live Indie game and the dev ported it to PC himself (and what an amazing port it is)

I would heartily recommend it. I never was one for combo-based fighting games but even this held me with it's mechanics. It is so fluid and polished and the story does hold you interested. The characters are believable and well voiced too!

Bought the game last Christmas when it was on sale on Xbox Live. Finished it before I even opened Halo 4. So yeah, it's great!
Fidget is best nimbat! Adorable, great VA and awesome dialogues! (And absolutely deadly with some equipment and max level magic.)
Though, this picture could use a little more work, up there in the head area. I don't think you're accurately capturing the pure size of Fidget's head...
I hope you played far enough to catch that reference. If not, you'll love it, one of the best sidequests in the game! And don't worry, her head's perfect!

I got gifted it by a friend on steam and yes, I have completed it and I got the reference 
She gives all the feels. I may have shed a tear or two at those two key sad moments in the game

Yeah! I really don't know why this game is so good, it just is!
Now if they would add some extreme/impossible/whatever difficuly, the game would be perfect...
(I don't know how you leveled your stats, but my playthrough got a bit boring near the end with maxed magic multiplied by 50 or something and instakilling every enemy on screen simultaneously. Maybe I should try a no equipment run someday...)

I just really love widget. I loved some much that I want to give you apart in my cartoon as a mare named Candy Cane if you want it. It's a Christmas Special and I think you deserve it.
