As a sidenote: Who'd've thought that, years later, he'd end up joining The Royal Guard Corps, and become one of Princess Twilight Sparkle's personal guards. I was quite surprised, when I saw him in that capacity in the final final episode of the show.
In my headcannon, he also became my OC and Luna's adoptive son after he graduated from The Friendship School. But THAT'S another story.
