I decided to take [link] this one and revamp it with a background. Honestly this revamp took quite a bit of work for things you probably won't notice, but definitely would if they weren't there lol. So, enjoy!((And I'm retarded... I forgot to add the caustics to the water before I saved it))

LOL! I've been working at it for oh, little over 3 years now. So, yeah I've still got a long way to go myself. I'm getting better though. If I do say so myself.

Oh sure you are, just depends on what medium you're going for. Me, I prefer somewhat realistic so I aim for that goal. If it helps you can do something I absolutely suck at... draw! lol I do awesome stick figures though!!
Also excellent brushes really help. It's a breeze when someone else does all the hard work for you.

yes well there is one major problem i have when it comes to my drawing and that, i can't shade.

Shading was a hard one for me, until I sat outside one day and just watched how the light made the shades off objects. I know it sounds silly but honest it worked miracles! Helped immensely with "lighting" objects in PS.

aww... well any light source will do really. It's just about how the light hits the object and the shadows on the object itself.
