Description
Some younger Krew doodles from my tumblr .1) Mako mending Bolin's shirt and doing a bad job of it. Bolin just lets him because big brother likes taking care of things even if Bolin's actually the better tailor.
2) Mako called Korra a girl like it's a bad thing so Korra showed him who was boss. Bolin's just amused his brother faceplanted.
3) Sleeping BBtar because I was sleepy at the time.
4) THEY'RE FILTHY COZ THEY'RE POOR

I actually have an AU headcanon like this. What if Korra was separated from her parents at that age somehow, in republic city? Everyone looks for her, but she's never found...
Not by adults, at least.
The parents don't have to be killed for this to work, (especially given season 2's plot, but it should work without them, Korra avenging her father from her uncle & the like) but it could easily work either way.
The brothers help teach her earth & firebending over time, as they grow up together on the streets. It's up to you whether Korra's mastered waterbending prior to all this, & I would imagine so, but it'd be even more fun & twistable to write if she still struggled with it & had to learn on her own, no help from anyone, except maybe the triple threats during the time the brothers (& Korra, in this AU) worked for them.
The triple threats don't know she's the Avatar, & for awhile, neither do Bolin or Mako.
