Well what you reckon waterscape or landscape?

This here is one of many waterfalls we visited in the Catlins a couple of weeks ago I'm rather proud of the fact that I managed to get this photo done lke this with just my bare hands holding the camera.

My friend who was with us at the time took several photos of the falls at the same time with his digital and I'm waiting to see how they turned out as well.

This is one of the few that I actually like... go figure.

Camera - Minolta Dynax 404si
Lens - Minolta AF 35-80
Film - Kodak 200 24exp
S&A - I didn't write down the picture numbers next to the settings so I'm lost there sorry

Good shot, beautiful place.

It seems to me that the "main" falls is maybe a bit too much to the left of the picture. Maybe because the water makes a line that leads the eye from right to left, and so there should perhaps be some more space on left. Now the pic looks somewhat out of balance.

What I really like about this, and what makes it stand out from the regular falls shot, is the foreground interest of rocks, plants and branches. And well done without a tripod!

Hhmm Good point unfortunately there was no more space on the left for me to add in I didn't add it in when I took the photo.

The top branch was a complete accident at the time and yet when I saw the out come I rather liked it sitting there, I think waterfalls are as much about the bits around it as the water its self so I try to add the extras in

Thank you for the great comment. I'll try and keep it in mind next time I take a photo similar

fantastic shot. the limb at the top and rocks at the bottom add some real depth to this one.
