as some of you may know i am super into my superheroes, Marvel mostly, so i've started to run a superhero pen and paper RPG with my boyfriend, these are the characters we made ^^ probably change what they look like a bit later down the line, this is just a doodle that got out of hand

lost my notebook with all the details on these two but when i find it i'll update this ^^
the guy is called Quentyn Fletcher, and the girl is Shay Brady. Fletcher can teleport from place to place and is a master archer and Brady can summon energy blasts, energy shields and can fly

Marksman
Name: Quentyn Fletcher
Age: 21
profession: S.T.R.I.K.E. operative (professional superhero)
Powers: teleportation, excellent archery skills, some hand to hand combat skill
relationship: single (but has a crush)
Family: mother, estranged
Story: young Quentyn was on track to be an Olympic archer but lost his right arm in a major car accident which also left him in constant pain. struggling to make a decent living he lived in near poverty in a small apartment after his family turned their backs on him. feeling like he had nothing left to lose he volunteered to take part in an experiment that was supposed to re-write the nerves that caused him pain, however the experiment massively backfires and Quentyn is "gifted" with this new strange ability that he cannot control; teleportation. he fazes in and out of existence with no control over it. that's until Dr June Garcia, a brilliant scientist creates a special implant that brings Quentyn's powers in his control, and because she was bored she makes him a metal arm with mini cross bow on it because why not? after a brief re-hab session (learning to control his powers exactly and him adjusting to his new arm) Quentyn struggled even more to find stable work, with most people not wanting to hire a man with a metal arm and has to declare himself as "other-Human" (someone with powers). having no other option he starts to rob banks, but he does so in a way no one can get hurt, waits until after hours, teleports in, takes what he needs and teleports out. he only takes what he needs to get by. however this attracts the attention of the local S.T.R.I.K.E. squad, they set a trap for Quentyn that he walks straight into. though captured they have sense to realise that he's not a bad guy and can actually be quite useful so give him an opportunity to become part of their team, a chance to be a government funded superhero who deal with the Other Human. since it pays quite well he agrees and becomes the Marksman.

Story: orphaned at a young age Shay was raised by her strictly religious aunt but her crazy ideals drove Shay away. she barely manages to make it into university and due to her lack of funds is forced to move into a dodgy area sharing a flat with some man she's never met. this man turned out to be Quentyn Fletcher and the pair get on quite well, growing close. though out of the blue he leaves for months without saying anything (but still pays his half of the rent so she's pretty sure he'll be back). Shay just gets on with things, but one night she finds herself bored and lonely so decides to mess around with a Ouija board, at first nothing happens but then it starts to spit out a series of numbers, over and over again. she writes them down and figures out that the numbers are co-ordinates, looking them up Shay realises that its not too far from her flat and upon letting curiosity get the better of her decides to check it out. one miserable bus ride later and a trek through fields and forest she comes across an abandoned church. after some exploring the floor gives in and she plummets into some sort of secret prison. sat waiting for Shay to arrive was the thing that sent her the co-ordinates, something old. he introduces himself as Ubla and explains that he's a race of ancient other wordly beings (aliens) that gift people with power. he explains that he has brothers and sisters he needs to find because a big bad is coming and they need to stop it, but he must escape his prison. sceptical at first Shay listens and agrees to help him, Ubla explains that if he cannot destroy his prison, he must give Shay powers so that she can do it for him, but he warns that if he does so they will be forever bound. Shay agrees and is gifted powers which creates a bound between the two very similar to father and daughter. he briefly teaches her how to use and control her powers, how she can summon raw energy to either throw it as a bolt, create a shield or use it to fly. the lessons are cut short as Ubla must find his family and suggests that Shay find her new extended family, the adopted sons and daughters of his bothers and sisters. she groggily agrees and stumbles home, but comes across a mugging in her own neighbourhood (a common occurrence where she lives) deciding that she can actually do something to make her home a safer and better place she uses her new powers to stop the mugger and save his would be victim. however this witness sells her story to the paper about how a rouge Other Human is patrolling the streets trying to stop crime. this causes some tension within the city and heightens S.T.R.I.K.E.'s forces/defences, but this doesn't stop stubborn Shay from trying to find others like her and fighting crime where she finds it.
