septimus is my favorite of all the seven princes of stormhold and he really has a good sense of humour... tho i don't mind lovely tristan being king... tho he does seem a bit goofy. hehe.

Indeed! A king needs a sense of humor. Tristan is still pretty awesome, as you said, but he doesn't really know what he's doing. Septimus has been raised in the royal atmosphere and actually understands what would be required of a ruling king.

For critiquey-ness I can't really say anything about the horse or the guy's posture since I know nothing about horses or riding, so I wouldn't know what I was talking about. 
That aside, that's some nifty muscle tone you did for the horse. And for Septimus' arm. X3 And I LOVE the color scheme. The hazy building in the distance is a nifty touch; gives the picture a sense of depth and, combined with the texture of the background, gives the picture an atmosphere of early morning fog.

You definitely need to see it. Some people say that nobody can write a new fairy tale. Stardust proves them wrong. It's brilliant. It has humor, romance, action, loveable and hateable characters (and some you love AND hate, the best kind) and some brilliant computer graphics. Plus, it's based on a book by Neil Gaiman, so it's got to be good, right?
I blame any correctness of the horse on my reference picture.
XD Haha, see, I knew something was wrong with his hair, but I couldn't figure out what it was! Nice. I think you're right about the proportions. Every time I sketched it, some proportion looked wrong. I swear, riders are not meant to be drawn. It's such an awkward position. I shall keep those notes in mind for whenever I invariably end up drawing another rider.
I'm glad you like the color! That was totally my lazy cop-out on coloring. I have this brilliant picture in my head of this bold, dazzling color with a bright sky, glowing gem... XD haha. I was tired, it was two in the morning, and I knew I'd screw the picture up if I tried my usual coloring. SO, since it's a fairy tale, I went with old school! ^^ I'm glad it worked!
The building is the main kingdom and the castle of Stormhold, or at least, it's supposed to be. It's impossible to make things properly glowy and impressive on a pale tan background. >>;

I do know that there are a lot of good actors in it, which in itself is enough merit to check it out. The protagonist has kind of a goofy face, though, so I was skeptical as to whether or not I'd want to see it.
