Upgrade of my previous Mi-35P Hind into the ATE Superhind.Work in progress can be seen in my gallery (3d WIP) section.

Done in 3ds Max, Mental ray, Photoshop.
render time took : 10-15 minutes. (1600x800)
Alot of work in post processing.

The first thing I noticed was the exhaust effect, and it was spot on! The rotor blades were captured as if I took the picture right out of an SLR with a high speed shutter
and at 30fps.
The reflection from the canopy was also the one that allows the image to appear life like even more.
Hands down to all the details, including the needle like radio apparatus on the back of the hump.
The paint scheme was great, could've used it on my own army if I had one! Anyway, keep up the good work, and try sci-fi sometime, you won't regret it!

out of interest how did you create the heat distortion?

Its pretty simple actually. In PS, select the area, add filter> distort> any effect that you like (glass works fine with me).
then apply a little bit gaussian blur to smoothen it up. Hope that helps.

Wow you definitely didn't spare any details on this bad boy now did you? I like the attention given to motion blur effects, such as the thruster(?) on the upper side of the chassis showing the heat distortion. No real crits to give
