But yeah, besides feudal territories, that's all of the countries that have been drawn! (Don't think I've forgotten any...)

Cameroon, Botswana, Bavaria, Australia, and Monaco
I hate how bad I am at keeping chibi proportions consistent.

And hmm... I dunno. These are based off the old designs from way back when that Himaruya deleted. I think in those designs Ghana was only really a head with longish hair, so I kinda assumed that they were a girl. Looking at the wiki it says they have no confirmed gender...

I've seen other people portray Ghana as a male. That's where most of my confusion came from, I guess.
He seems to have a masculine face, anyway. At least, that's what I see. All around, this piece of art is very good and went immediately to my favorites.

actually according to the law of nations the German federal states are independet countries who are part of conferderation called "Bundesrepublik Deutschland"/"ferderal republic of Germany" and in the course of confered some competencies to the conferderation.
So thhe german LΓ€nder are not just states, like for example the departements in france. That'S why we have "presidents" and not just gouverneurs.
Plus, you have to remember that all these states were completey independent countries in the past.

Technically, Prussia is part of Germany too.
I think Himaruya personified them because they can be independent countries, ya get me? :I

I'll give you an example:
Seborga used to be part of Italy. He became an independent sovereign not too long ago. In Hetalia sense, this means Seborga lived in Italy's house (under Italian control) until he moved out (declared his independence).
So, Saxony and Bavaria simply live in Germany's house.

Well, no. Seborga is in no way an independent sovereign nation. Italy and all the other states don't acknowledge Seborga and it is still a normal part of Italy. You can count it as micronation, but still, Italy never took them serious. Saxony and Bavaria are also not independent sovereign nations. They are partly sovereign federated states of Germany.
"Unlike in other federations, the German states retain the right to act on their own behalf at the international level. They retain the status of subjects of international law, independently from their status as members of a federation."

I suppose you're right. I know Italy never took them seriously. ._.
But maybe Himaruya just made him a character because he recognized it as a micronation, and thought he'd be a good part in the manga. I've only seen Saxony in the anime so far, so I wouldn't know about the rest of the German states.
