Description A Flower On The Smugglers' Moon.

Despite Grace's size, a year is a long time to stay cooped up on a starship, and when Quinn joined Isabelle's rebels she'd imagined a life of, well, rebellion, whilst the other members had spent that time running small Guerrilla operations against the Empire, the most action Quinn had seen was the odd and uneventful patrol, she was itching to contribute to the team, and she may finally have that chance. The mission sounds simple, meet with a contact on the Nar Shaddaa, and exchange payment for information, not a glamorous job, but if she can pull it off it could finally be the chance she needs to prove herself, what could go wrong?

Well, the Force works in mysterious ways, and on the Smugglers' Moon anything can happen, as Quinn awaits her briefing, far far away eyes gaze upwards towards the stars, a young child without a name, resigned to a fate of squalor and starvation, feels something, a ripple through the Force, it's something she cannot understand, a feeling completely alien to her: Hope.

Isabelle inquires about Quinn's early life, causing Quinn to remember her time with her real mother, however she quickly snaps out of it as Isabelle proposes a job for her, inquiring about her knowledge of The Smugglers' Moon, Quinn recalls her time in the Da'hren marketplace, often overhearing conversations between Spacers of their time there...

Here we get a glimpse into the past, of a little Quinn, eyes full of wonder, and her mother, wearing a false smile, though Quinn was too young to know, if you've read The First Farewell , you can probably guess the planet and moon in the background.

Those ships in the background of the flashback you might recognise if you've played Star Wars Starfighter, old Trade Federation ships, they're likely refurbished as cargo haulers, I have a lot of fun adding obscure ships in the background. I also have fun drawing Quinn with different hairstyles, her shorter hair as a kid and her mother's hairstyle foreshadowing things to come, not gonna lie, I've missed drawing her. TwT

Anyway as ever feedback is always appreciated.

Very cool to see you active again, Midori.  Hope life hasn't been too rough on you, and regardless, that things look upward!

I have to say, I really enjoy the dialogue you give your characters. It honestly comes across as so natural, which often isn't easy to do, especially in such a fictional world as Star Wars.  But through the character's thoughts and voices, you really do make it feel not so fictional.  And to you, many kudos for that.

Thank you very much, I’m really glad to be back online. Its still up and down, but I’m not really helping myself by staying isolated, so I’m trying to change that.

Ah, thank you, I really appreciate that, I try my best to make them feel realistic, I do worry sometimes, I struggle a lot with social interactions, perk of my Autism, so I’m really glad that they work, it may sound weird, but when writing dialogue I often vocalise it out loud, to try to work out the right way of saying things, and work out sentence structure, inflections, and such, my folks probably think I’m mad, talking to myself, but it definitely helps.
