I love your designs, but I gotta ask, is Jasmine supposed to be black here or does it is just tanned skin, as described in the books? I also love that you used the hair colours from the books

thank you I headcanon her as being black because it does mention her having darker skin so I just thought it fit her really well

I'd rather not be nitpicky, but the first time Jasmine's description is mentioned in Forests of Silence, it clearly says she has a "sun-browned arm" and in Maze of the Beast Doom/Jarred is described as "His face was seamed with lines of tiredness, hisΒ long, tangled black hair and beard were streaked with dust, and the jagged scar showed pale on hisΒ deeply tanned skin." I know I do sound nitpicky, and I know you said "headcanon", but the way you phrased the last of the comment, it seemed you were assuming that "darker skin" means Rodda meant for her to be black, which does not seem to be the case. But it's your imagination, so it's fine

My god that's a response. Anyway thanks for quoting the books and explaining them but I already know the difference between tan and black, and I know my depiction is fine if it makes you feel any better I headcanon the torans (and lief) as being more like East Asian in ethnicity (like Japanese, or Taiwanese I haven't decided yet) so that fits the book description really well
