Wonderful juxtaposition of the cherry blossoms with the traditional building.

Thank you! Β I was actually trying to center on the chrysanthemum - the symbol of the Japanese Emperor.

I noticed it, and I appreciate it. Β However, you shot the cherry blossoms so beautifully, and it all seems to blend together so harmoniously. Β

I thought at first this was a photo of an interesting dock on the shore of a lake. The sky actually looked like water, with a reflection of the dock beneath it. It is a very beautiful photo, with the tease of an ancient gabled roof behind the blossoms.

Kyoto is one place to be in x)
I loveeeee Japan!!!
I wish I could go there though.... it would be fun sitting under those cherryblossoms in your own Japanese kimonoish cloth and enjoying tea.. x)
Was this like a temple or something there?

It was a castle. A very old, historic castle. The cherry trees are in the garden, and you can see the castle in the background. The chrysanthemum (flower) in the symbol of the Japanese emperor.

Cherry trees grow in a lot of places, but there are only a few where they bloom en mass. Washington, DC is one. I was super lucky to arrive in Kyoto at the right time. In Northern Japan it was still snowing.
You will one day... Hang in ...

That's most of photography. Sometimes the best pics happen by pure chance. =3
