Now, this is an entry for ~balthazar147 's contest where you must draw this Liquicorn OC. balthazar147.deviantart.com/jo⦠I find him a very interesting character. He has a shell horn! Which i've never come by before.
As there's different categories in the contest, I went for something different. A theme through the lens of a camera! See the battery icon and the face-finder? ^^

Nice job! I love this so much! I really love 'flying' pictures, and this is a very unique and creative OC
For Vision, you had a great idea. It's really clever and has such a 'playful' feel. For Originality, adding the 'camera' stuff was a nice touch.
For technique, This was drawn so well. I love your style. The only reason I rated this four stars is because it's a little hard to see xer.
And finally for Impact, this leaves everyone a bit happier. Almost everyone would love to this. You made me smile today.

This is very cool! I think you did a great job the colors blend perfectly and the textures and style is amazing and I think you did an awesome job and keep it up I think you'll be a great artist and keep improving! I also don't think I've ever seen a picture with there character upside down so that is very cool anyway keep it up I love how it looks like a camera and his tail blends perfectly with the background colors and I jut think this is just an amazing piece! again keep it up! looks pretty dang cool. the art style is accurate to the show. no need to elaborate there. the design is awesome, and you portrayed it well. lineart's great. colouring's great- really really like how you blended the colours in transitioning to lotus's tail and the colouring you used for the tail itself. pose is great; very dynamic. expression is good. nice touch adding camera indicators, though i'm not sure how it would work (assumedly) underwater. only gripes i could find are minor; the background looks kinda... stock and i'm not sure why his legs are splayed out so weirdly.
overall, nicely done!

No, no not at all! I'd never do that and not credit.Β
It took a lot of time did the background. I started with dark patches for the sand then gradually lighter and lighter. Then i did the same with the water, making it more wavy, adding lighter tones for shines and the sparkles for....sparkles. XD

... is that a challenge? Because ... it all points in different directions. The relative positions of sea and beach make it look like the camera's the wrong way up, but the positioning of the charge display - which I say belongs at the top of the screen - and the way that his mane and tail are falling indicate that he's upside down. Unless, of course, they always stick up.

I love how this turned out! and the scalish effect is epic! like I know lotus has a (pinguins ) fur, but it would be fun to think there would be scales underneeth, does that even work?
