Stumbled over this when goofing off on youtube. Holy holy carp. Jason is the director of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and clearly a genuinely awesome guy. Thank you also to the couple of bronies who had the balls and foresight to bring a banana bag with an actual banana in it to the convention and bust it out in such a badass manner.

Canon? Eh, I was just early at making an MLP cartoon before any of them came out. Plus bananas are just funny--they're a funny sounding word along with coconuts and kumquats. I imagine "You don't like Coconuts--well blah blah blah ON THE MOOOOON--HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM NUTS?!!!" would have worked just as well.

I'm really hoping that most of the Bronies have Aspergers and are spending most of their time creating a new form of energy when they aren't watching MLP:FIM, or making MLP:FIM fan art, or making about MLP:FIM erotic fan art, or making humanized MLP:FIM fan art, or making erotic humanized MLP:FIM fan art, or buying useless crap off of JList.com while reading a fan-fic about a brony who makes erotic humanized MLP:FIM fan art and posting the links to it on 4chan.

Hey there Skaijo! I was so happy to see that you actually saw our shenanigans!
I have to say: Thanks so much for your animations. They have been a big part of our Bronies of Northern California meetup group that it's hard to avoid it. From being projected on a big screen [link] to bringing banana bags to our meets [link] it has become a regular thing for us.
As for what happened at Animation on Display: We decided to bring a banana bag & some bananas on the last day of the con. Then one of us decided, for the heck of it, have Jason Thiessen sign it. And the rest is history. We did not try to preserve the banana, but it was still a great memory.
And for the record: We had other bronies from our meetup group go to Wondercon and they were SO CLOSE to getting THE Lauren Faust herself to sign a banana, but they decided not to.
Really glad you enjoyed seeing our zaniness and thanks once again for your animations! SO MANY FRIENDS! <3
