Hi there everybody!Been through a hellish week *And likely two more will follow*
but I've managed to finally complete my work on my lifesized Chamberlain sculpt! ^^Here he is, fully dressed, bejeweled and in his best garb! I made him slightly younger than his movie self (so to e truthful as possible to the film's original version but also make him a tad different, to add a bit of how he looks at my art and comics which are often located on an earlier place at the timeline tha the film is
*I hope you like how he ended up looking! Soon there'll be many more pics of him!

But isn't he though? I mean, its okay if he is. But yes it is inspiring, perhaps one day I'll make my own life sized husbandos to hug and stare at.
But yea no kidding I can imagine how much work that was, hes been in the works for a long while but all the more reason for a congrats because you fucking did it! Hes finished and can be hugged and admired by you, keep you company while you draw and sculpt dragons with your talons. x3

It was indeed very hard work, but I think it was worth it, and people seemed to love him at seeing him live!
-Glad, too, to kow he looks effectively a bit younger: I had wanted to give him that since simply doing him exact to th film would've been cool but not as amusing as tipping a bit of redesign to see what I could make him look like if imagined him "while turning back time some 200 yrs"

I was, much, back at the 90's ^^...The new Ducktales haven't reached my country yet (tho our locl Disney Channel promised to air it soon) ^^ OH, I hadn't seen the full itro! it's looking good (modernized, simplified style, good animation, looks cool so far ^^ Hahaha, yes, that fellow there does look much like a skeksis mummy! ^^
I'd put my voyte on him bring actually a mummified vulture-pharaoh, since at Ducksburg's world birds are people, at the country comparable to egypt there peope would likely look mostly like egyptian birds (ibis, vultures, hawks, ossifrage, etc)---My bet on this guy would be sice at high egypt's crown one of the two ceremonial creature heads was a vulture's, the pharaoh himself could be depicted as one *and since skeksis have very vulturine heads, the result of designig a vulture-guy gives off something looking 90% skeksis ^^

I know what you mean though in regard to the total relaxed and positive energy Jim appeared to exude, I obviously don't know his children either, but I feel like the are strictly business oriented, as opposed to Jim who would be so happy to see tributes to his vision.

some of the newest products about precisely The Dark Crystal (which I frankly disliked and was disappointed at...) made me think indeed his children are much more "only business-oriented" and I have no clue to how they'd receive the sight of my tribute to TDC
If you saw any of the newest products the youg Hensons approved...it still baffles me.
Maybe they wouldn't be so bad if they were referred to a different franchise-maybe wouldnt be bad products in itselves- yet they certainly feel lieke they don't belong in almost any sense into the original Dark Crystal's spirit or realm...
I ended up thinking "If they allowed and approved THIS as new part on what they want to become canon for this...they probably are in it only for money"
It's sad...still, whatever new things they bring up, as much as I may dislike them, won't ver ruin my love for the original work of Jim! ^^ he was a kind, wonderful person for sure---I will always admire him greatly ^^

Well it's not that big like Comic-Con in West Europe or for sure not like San Diego Comic-Con but I heard that on spring edition there was 50k people sa I wanted to try how it will be in Fall edition
I don't know why too..maybe because our conventions dosen't invite stars from hollywood ? Most of conventions are manga and anime themed and fantasy conventions if they invite someone famous then it's a writer.
I think spring Comoc-Con was first to invite actor stars from overseas

Si...fué un laburo interminable! (aunqu estoy segura, por la cantidad de tiempo real que le dediqué) que si hubiese podido dedicarme totalmente a hacerlo a él y nada más por un tiempo, en dos semanas o por ahí hubiera estado hecho

*para ése entonces, quien sea que había preguntado ya habrá escapado despavorido (ojalá que no a llamar a un neuropsiquiátrico, lol) y yo tan tranquila XD...

Es que es lo que suele pasar , uno entre obligaciones, el laburo, la casa y demás, teniendo en cuenta que generalmente trabajar con estas cosas involucra tener que preparar un area de trabajo es todo un tema x.x

EXACTAMENTE!!! En mi caso es igual: salvo las cosas que vendo (accesorios para el pelo, colgantes, etc, y muñecos chicos y figuras) la mayoria de lo que hago "para mí" queda no en tercer sino en decimoquinto orden de prioridad, siempre XD...Asi que por ejemplo el pobre Chambelán quedó dos añosen "el infierno de pre-produccion" mientras que hubiese estado listo en NADA, si me hubera podido dedicar...pero habia prioridades absolutamente mas urgentes como siempre pasa! ( primero está pagar las cuentas, morfar, etc por supuesto, que soy fanática pero no tarada, jajaja XD...)
SIIII! XD...Te juro que lo haria nomás para veres las caras a los próximos que pregunten! XD
Y sí: no se pueden quedar , y yo si me mandan a la gente del "loquero" les digo "o sé, por ahí el estilo de arte que hago les parece impresionante y se pusieron nerviosos..." XD...
