Yup. I mean, I can understand their original decision to discontinue the show due to budgetary issues, as it did utilize a lot of complex computer effects, but why cancel its revival? By that point it had gained a sizable cult following, so I think the viewership would more than make up the difference. Meanwhile, we're stuck with mentally deficient, immature bull crap like "Fanboy & Chum Chum" or freaking "Breadwinners"! Even "Spongebob Squarepants" and "The Fairly Oddparents" have become more hit and miss over the years. Seriously, I grew up watching Nickelodeon, so it does hold a special place in my heart, but at this point I think "The Legend of Korra" may be the only show truly keeping the network alive! To think it was once considered one of the top three most successful networks for animation.

and they are even throwing Korra under the bus lately, Cutting its budgets and only streaming it online....

Everyone was on board for the new Invader Zim.. I have yet to find out why Nicktoons said NO, after Jhonan agreed to everything they wanted, including the smaller budget. 

I kinda Kick my self for liking "Fairly odd parents " since they were the ones that Killed Invader Zim in the end.

Jeez, that sucks! Nick has to hire some new executives. Their poor decision making is killing the network! >_<

Another screw up we can attribute to crappy decision making.

Seriously? What, did they take its time slot? Because Richard said the show was cancelled after going over budget.

It was Over budget and low ratings.. 

Fairly Odd parents Premiered the same Night IZ did and despite IZ getting phrase from Critiques, Fairly Odd parents was getting more views, to the point where a new ep of IZ was suppose to run that night.. but they put Fairly odd parents in the slot instead..  

I remember Richard  bringing this up a few times.  Must of hurt badly..

Well, for all its faults over the years, I completely understand Fairly Oddparents having a wider appeal amongst younger viewers. Sure, IZ was silly at times, but it also touched on some fairly mature content which could almost be considered taboo for Nickelodeon these days. Need I bring up "Dark Harvest"? Sometimes I think it might have been more successful if they had gone all the way, and just made it an adult cartoon. Granted, that could've backfired, too. Just look at what happened to "Ren & Stimpy". Of course, I never really liked the original, and thought of the content was inappropriate for children, but adult version was sadistic and nausea inducing. I digress.

Honestly that was just the first few eps of IZ when it was finding it footing, Also nick loved Dark Harvest. Jhonan thought he would be fired after they saw it and started packing his stuff, but nope they totally supported it. 

Later on, it started to have more of a fun yet dark tone, without it being too dark or gross like the first few eps. They were about to go really light with the new eps that were never made.. maybe a bit too much.

Honestly, I think it struck a nice balance between the fun and dark. If Nick had gone through with their plan to bring the show back, I would much prefer that to something overly light. A lot of Nick shows have become very antiquated and watered down over the years, so if that were to be the case I think we're better off not having the dark undertones tainted by arbitrarily dumbed down filler. True, Spongebob and FO can still touch on semi taboo subjects, but Nick's reputation has been severely damaged thanks to crappy decision making and the brain dead garbage masquerading as entertainment which I've previously mentioned.
